Recycling our waste …

Year 2 had a super afternoon today. We invited our parents into school to help us decorate some empty jars and turn them into pencil pots. The children cut out some coloured paper and used glue to stick the pieces onto the jar. Everybody was delighted with the finished product and we were pleased that we were able to use something old to create something new. A big thank you to all who came to join us !  

           

Memory Games

We have been playing some games to help with our memory. The children had to recall what we needed to take on our picnic. The children tried really hard to remember all of the items.

Using Dominoes in Maths

In Maths, we have been looking at solving different addition and subtraction calculations. We used dominoes to help us understand that addition can be done in any order.

 We have been learning to use a Numbered Heads together to help us solve some problems. The children worked really well together, and listened to each other’s ideas.
